Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Chili

I'm obsessed with Chili. All variations of it. I will try just about any Chili recipe. This one combines my love of BBQ chicken in Chili form. It is delicious and healthy. A perfect winter meal!

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Chili
Serves 6
Cal 178, Fat 3.5g, Carbs 21g, Fiber 1g, Protein 19.5g

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
14 oz can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup great northern beans
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 small yellow onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin

Add all ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on low 6 hours or high 4 hours. During the last 30 minutes of cooking time break up the chicken into pieces. Cook another 15 minutes. Top with cheese, green onion, and tortilla chips. Enjoy!

  3. Do you use canned northern beans or bagged?

  4. I used canned. I really like the Bush Brand.
