Crock Pot Ranch Mac and Cheese

I've been seeing recipes for crockpot mac and cheese all over the Internet lately. While I love a good mac and cheese my husband thinks it is kind of boring. I really wanted to try the crock pot version but decided to make mine with a twist by making a Ranch Mac and Cheese. So yeah, it was incredible and the macaroni was really creamy. (That was another thing I was worried about since I was using the crock pot) My husband and toddler loved it too! I'll have to add this to the list of new favorite recipes!

Crock Pot Ranch Mac and Cheese

3 cups milk (I used 2 percent)
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 envelope Ranch seasoning
2 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
8 oz box uncooked elbow macaroni

Spray the pot of the slow cooker or if using a liner bag, spray the bag well. In a mixing bowl whisk together milk, melted butter, garlic powder, ranch, and pepper. Pour milk mixture into the crock pot. Add 2 cups of cheese and uncooked macaroni. Stir gently to mix. Cook on low for 3 1/2 hours. During the last hour of cooking time sprinkle reserved 1/2 cup of cheddar on top of the mac and cheese and let melt. Enjoy! 



  1. I do love mac and cheese, my dh not so much. Since this has ranch in it, he might go for it.
    I have seen lots of recipes for the crock pot as well and was concerned about the texture of the noodles.
